Shell Shape Workshop 4 | Making Sea Urchin Shell Lamps

Capacity: 10 people per session (advance registration takes priority)

Lecturer: Shu Nakachi (Seaside Natural History Research Center)

Participation fee: 1,500 yen + admission fee (includes LED lighting, some of which will be donated to the seaweed bed restoration project)

This is a workshop where you will remove the spines from sea urchins caught in the waters of Tosashimizu and Otsuki and make sea urchin shell lamps.

On the same day, July 13th, the Sakurahama Beach Opening 2025 will also be held at Sakurahama, a 3-minute walk from the Sea Gallery. Please enjoy both events!


・We will be using chemicals such as bleach, so please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

・Children in the third grade or younger must be accompanied by an adult (an admission fee is required for each child).
