Shell Shape Workshop 5 | Shape and Movement

Date: Sunday, September 14, 2025

Capacity: Approximately 10 people (advance registration is prioritized)

Lecturers: Momoyo Shimazaki (artist), Dai Niino (director of Ashizuri Aquarium SATOUMI)

Participation fee: 200 yen + admission fee to each facility

In the first half, we made seashells using oven clay with Momoyo Shimazaki (artist).

The shell shapes that I imagined, observed, and created were then turned into brooches and straps.

In the second half, we moved to SATOUMI and observed the moving shells with Director Niino.

It was a valuable time to hear explanations of the mysterious movements and living organisms.
